We're based in Dubuque, about 93 miles / 1 hour 34 minutes from Madison via US-151 N. Out here, we focus exclusively on commercial and larger-scale work — office, retail, multi-family, healthcare, and industrial buildings — scheduled in blocks so the trip makes sense for everyone.
Wisconsin's state capital and a major corporate, healthcare, and higher-ed market — state government buildings, corporate campuses, healthcare systems, and the university district around UW–Madison. We take on Madison projects as commercial-only work — the distance from Dubuque makes one-off residential jobs impractical for our size of crew, but it's exactly the kind of market where a focused, well-run commercial job is worth the trip.
Corporate campuses and professional office buildings, scheduled after-hours or in phases.
Clinics, medical offices, and institutional buildings that need low-odor products and strict scheduling.
Apartment and condo turnovers, common areas, and portfolio work for property managers.
Storefronts and multi-tenant buildings, phased so tenants stay open.
Familiar with bid/spec requirements and COI documentation.
Larger-format interior and exterior coatings for commercial buildings.
Fully licensed and insured, with certificates of insurance provided on request — no chasing paperwork before a bid gets approved.
Evenings, weekends, or phased sections so your storefront stays open. We plan the job around your hours, not ours.
You work directly with Mark from bid to walkthrough — no call center, no account rep shuffle, no markup from a middleman.
Madison jobs get batched and scheduled in advance so the crew, materials, and timeline are locked before we're on site — no surprises, no delays.
“We initially planned to paint the interior of our new house ourselves, mostly to save money. However, I reached out to Mark to get an estimate and after discussing with my husband, we made the investment to have Mark professionally paint our house. It's one of the best decisions we made while building our house. Coordinating colors, sheens, contract, etc. with Mark was incredibly easy and quick. The crew was professional, punctual and the quality was above all of our expectations.”
“Mark and his crew were phenomenal. Starting out with a reasonable bid, they were all personable, professional, and efficient, and made sure the rooms looked great every day. Would have them paint again and again!”
“We are very happy with Fuehrer Painting. They painted our shutters, doors and garage doors. The transformation of our home is amazing. We highly recommend Mark and the team.”
